The working terms behind Summit Bookworks.
These terms govern access to the Summit Bookworks website, workspace, diagnostics, and related services. By using Summit, you agree to these baseline terms along with any plan-specific or project-specific agreements.
Effective date: April 17, 2026
Core terms
Services and scope
Summit Bookworks provides manuscript diagnostics, editorial guidance, platform access, concierge support, and related authority-book services. Specific deliverables, timelines, and support levels may vary by plan, proposal, or separate written agreement.
Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information, maintaining the confidentiality of account access, and ensuring that materials you submit do not violate the rights of others. You remain responsible for final review and approval of manuscript, marketing, legal, and business decisions.
Payments and subscription access
Paid plans, deposits, diagnostic fees, and subscription terms will be presented at checkout or in a direct engagement agreement. Unless stated otherwise in writing, fees are non-refundable once strategy work, editorial review, or delivery has started.
Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your original manuscript materials and pre-existing intellectual property. Summit retains ownership of its platform, systems, workflows, templates, and internal methods. Engagement-specific outputs are licensed or assigned as described in the applicable plan or agreement.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site or workspace, interfere with platform operations, attempt unauthorized access, upload harmful material, or use Summit in a way that violates law, contractual obligations, or the rights of other people.
Summit may suspend or terminate access when necessary to protect the platform, client work, or operational integrity.
Limitations and disclaimers
- Summit does not guarantee publishing outcomes, sales results, lead volume, speaking opportunities, or business performance.
- The platform and services may evolve, pause, or change as the product matures and operational systems improve.
- To the maximum extent allowed by law, Summit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from platform use or service delivery.
Legal housekeeping
Summit may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms become effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Any separate signed agreement or written proposal governing a client engagement will control in the event of a conflict with these general website terms.
This is a strong scaffold, not final legal counsel.
These terms are designed to give Summit a clear, professional baseline now. They should still be reviewed by counsel before production launch, especially once refund policy, data retention, jurisdiction, and service-provider details are finalized.
